Say hello to two new Kooltherm K100 range products

We’re pleased to be launching two new products next week.

Kooltherm K107 Pitched Roof Board and Kooltherm K112 Framing Board join the six other K100 range products on Monday 3rd April.

Two’s good, three’s better

Level 2 BIM has now been required on government contracts for nearly a year. This RIBA J article looks at what we can expect from the next step – Level 3.

In our working lifetimes technologies have developed rapidly. It is a reminder that when thinking about Level 3 we shouldn’t be limited by what we can imagine from today’s technology. Data storage, once confined to floppy disks, is now almost infinitely scalable at negligible cost.

Wrap then Heat – making our buildings healthier and cheaper to run

A group of leading companies within the energy sector has outlined a new strategy for making our homes healthier and cheaper to run.

Wrap then Heat, published by the Sustainable Energy Association, recognises that supporting energy efficiency and low carbon heat should be a key objective of energy policy and addressing one without the other is sub-optimal for homeowners, investors and government.

T-levels: what are they and how will they work?

The Spring Budget was released earlier this month, and arguably the most interesting announcement was the introduction of T-levels.

The new method of technical education for 16 to 19 year olds will increase the number of hours students train and replace the current 13,000 qualification with just 15. These will include construction and engineering & manufacturing, among others.

T-levels are expected to come into effect from 2019, and we’re looking forward to seeing the impact it will t have on our industry.

This new tape could change the way you build

Perhaps not with bricks and mortar, but certainly with Lego, Kre-O and most other building block systems!

The tape was developed through crowdfunding and allows you to build up walls, across ceilings – pretty much anywhere you want.
