Fixing our broken housing market
Earlier this month the government announced its plans to ‘fix the broken housing market’ and build more homes across England. This included a series of measures to build homes in the right places, to speed up house building and to help diversify the housing market.
While this is entirely a step in the right direction, we’ve also called for better, more efficient homes, to ensure that properties are built with residents and the future in mind.

The Sustainability Ocsars 2017
It’s awards season! While most of us are waiting to see whether La La Land sweeps this year’s Academy Awards, edie.net has put together its own list to celebrate the very best of climate-change cinema.
The list includes everything from Disney favourite Moana (which shoes how dependent some communities are on the surrounding environment) to Leonardo DiCaprio for his ‘Before the Flood’ documentary.
No surprise as to who won the Lifetime Achievement Award…!

SEA elects new Chair of Executive Committee
On that note, we’re incredibly pleased that our very own Richard Burnley has been elected Chair of the Sustainable Energy Association (SEA) Executive Committee.
Richard commented: I’m delighted to take up this role and look forward to working with the SEA team to continue to shape the future policy framework.

Box set binge spawns 3D plans of TV shows
Do you just love The US Office? If so, you’ll feel like you know Dunder Mifflin like the back of your hand.
And any Mad Men fans will have seen Don Draper walking through Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce countless times.
These are just two of the fictional environments that have been recreated as 3D plans by Drawbotics. The team spent hours binge-watching their favourite TV shows, before recreating authentic floor plans each fictitious office. (Sounds like a pretty good weeks’ work to us…!)
